Social distancing is not social isolation. Chicago Minds’ mission is to connect the community through promoting it’s members’ mental health. We are holding each other’ experiences of fear and isolation during this uncertain and isolating times of COVID-19. We are together in staying healthy for ourselves, for ones we love and for our community. Let’s all be part of the social connection that keeps our body and mind healthy. Chicago Minds wants to invite you to join our first community virtual yoga session.
Event Description
We have invited Kelli Bosak, who is not only a licensed clinical social worker, but also a certified Yoga instructor, to lead us through a restorative yoga session. Kelli is a student and teacher of yoga and social work, who believes that the most important part of the practice is when we’re living our yoga off and outside the mat. She completed her 200 hour yoga teaching certification at Tejas Yoga, and her classes are built on a sequence of accessible yoga poses, breathing practices, and meditation that emphasize strength and mobility. Her hope is to guide students on their own journeys of feeling more connected, aware of their power for self-transformation, and–most simply–better in their minds and bodies.
