Trauma comes in many forms that impact our mind and body alike. Jasmine Allen will deliver a workshop on trauma-informed yoga. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about trauma, the nervous system, and somatic healing through a presentation. Then, Jasmine will lead participants through movement in a trauma-informed yoga class to apply somatic healing techniques.
Objectives
1. Understand the impact of trauma on our entire mind-body system and how it can manifest in different areas of our lives
2. Discover ways to start and sustain our healing journey
3. Participate in a trauma-informed yoga class

Workshop participants who opt to receive CE certification, please select the CEU Extra Service option. This workshop fulfills requirement for 1.5 CE credits. CE sponsorship is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), credits are applicable to LCSW and transferrable to LCPC in Illinois. If you have a different licensure or are licensed outside of Illinois, please check with your licensure body before purchasing.

About the Presenter
Jasmine Allen is a trauma-informed yoga instructor and trainer, writer, and business owner. She teaches hundreds of students virtually 3x a week in her yoga program, Heal Haum Yoga, and sells cork yoga mats and props through her online boutique, With Jasmine Allen.
She provides trauma-informed trainings and workshops for businesses, organizations, small groups, and individuals. Her articles on trauma-informed yoga have been featured in Yoga International and XONecole. Jasmine holds a 200hr yoga teacher certification, 40hr trauma-informed yoga teacher certification from Yogaworks, and 30hr certification in Accessible Yoga.
Jasmine received her bachelor’s in Sociology from Temple University and Masters in Education Policy from Columbia University.
