She will also touch on certain employment issues.

About the Speaker

Helen Bloch founded the Law Offices of Helen Bloch, P.C. in 2007.  As a general practice, her firm helps companies, Fortune 500 executives, and others in a variety of matters, with a special emphasis on the employment and business arena, workers’ compensation, and defense of Chicago municipal code violations. Many clients who initially seek Helen’s assistance with personal matters later request her help establishing their own companies where she then becomes the business’ attorney.  Helen is President of the Decalogue Society of Lawyers, serves on the Alliance of Bar Associations for Judicial Screening, and is a member of several other bar associations and professional organizations.  She leads the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Lincoln Park Business Exchange.  For the last two years in a row Thomson Reuters selected her for inclusion in Super Lawyers for employment law.  She has lectured on such topics as issues affecting small businesses, legal rights and obligations from multiple sides of the employer-employee relationship, financial management, and dispute resolution.  Her firm is a certified woman-owned business with the State of Illinois.
