About the Panelists

  • Thyannda Mack, Founder of Inclusive Resolutions LLC

    Thyannda is the founder of Inclusive Resolutions LLC where she helps organizations and individuals move toward resolution after incidents or disputes involving race, gender identity, sex, religious/spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation, age, ability differences, ethnicity, nationality, or socioeconomic status. Her experiences as an attorney, educator, trauma survivor, and parent has made her adept at responding to and resolving identity-related incidents. She has 15+ years of experience in community engagement, facilitation, conflict resolution, and programming.

    Thyannda has worked with the likes of the YWCA, DePaul University, Association for Conflict Resolution, University of Iowa, outpatient treatment centers, independent schools, community organizations, and professional organizations. Training and Certifications include Center for Conflict Resolution certified mediator, Illinois and Missouri licensed attorney, Diversity training with BUILD Diversity Training, Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity Project program, National Association for Law Placement Annual Education Conference, American Association of University Women White Privilege seminar, Chicago Women in Intellectual Property, Central Exchange Women at the Leading Edge program.

  • Worsham El, LCSW, co-founder and CEO of Lotus Trauma Care LLC
    Worsham El is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) passionate about educating professionals and caregivers on the impact of childhood trauma, complex trauma, and historical trauma. She has nearly 15 years of experience empowering diverse populations of vulnerable youth, adults, and their families in the fields of domestic violence, child welfare, youth programming, and outpatient mental health services. She strongly advocates for the promotion of post-traumatic resiliency via trauma-informed care. She provides tailored consulting services and clinical supervision to professionals serving clients with experiences of complex trauma.

    She is the co-Founder and CEO of Lotus Trauma Care, LLC, your South Side Chicago Trauma providers, and a Field Consultant for graduate students at the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration.  She has designed and facilitated workshops for the University of Chicago, Gary Comer Youth Center, Loyola University, and several other organizations.

    Worsham El received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, with a concentration in child and adolescent development. Her Master’s degree is in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, with a specialization in the treatment of complex trauma. Worsham El is also Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP) with training in several evidence-based trauma treatments. Her passion for delivery and promotion of trauma-informed care is ignited by her appreciation for her large family and lived experiences with trauma. She would be honored to support you, your team, and/or your organization in providing quality, trauma-informed care.

  • Dr. Fabrice R. Lubin, LCP, Founder of For Real Therapy

    A first-generation Haitian immigrant, published poet, father, and creative spirit, Dr. Fabrice Robert Lubin is an engaging therapist respecting the struggle of change and skillfully seeking to create unique opportunities. By interweaving evidence-based practice with an emphasis on radical change, Dr. Fabrice Lubin aims to foster a connection for individuals desiring something new, profound, and meaningful. His work reflects across the lifespan and in a variety of settings, including Veteran’s Affairs, college counseling, and partial/intensive outpatient hospital programming for depression, anxiety, substance use issues, self-injury, career changes, and identity exploration. Fabrice excels at creating a concise, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environments.

    Fabrice is the designer, creator, and founder of For Real Spaces, a multi-purpose office venue committed to addressing mental health concerns on both the individual and community levels. With an emphasis on valuing access and therefore hope to lower barriers (financial, professional, personal, or otherwise) that impede the seeking of mental health services. For Real Spaces targets a diverse group of people searching for comprehensive approaches to therapy and ways to discuss mental health not as an individual problem, but as a communal one.

  • Dr. Daniel K. Phillip, LCP, Founder of Together+Through

    Dr. Daniel K. Phillip (he, him, his) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Founder of Together+Through, an organization that centers those at the margins by providing psychotherapy and consultation services that are collaborative, culturally responsive and personalized. As a psychologist with visible and invisible marginalized identities, Daniel’s personal and professional opportunities have shaped his therapy style, which incorporates anti-oppressive, cognitive behavioral, emotion-focused, and insight-oriented approaches.

  • Cicely Green, Mental Health Counselor, Holistic Health Coach

    CIcely is mental health counselor, endurance runner, yoga + pilates teacher, and aerialist who seeks to increase representation in these spaces. Cicely’s passion is to create safe and healing spaces for people of color, women, LGBTQ, immigrants, emerging adults, youth, and athletes. She believes in focusing on one’s mind as well as body to promote holistic healing.

    Most recently, Cicely started the Chicago Black Therapist Directory as a resource to improve visibility and access to black mental health professionals in Chicago.

About Affinity Community Services

Affinity Community Services is a Black led, queer led organization on Chicago’s Southside dedicated to social justice in Black LGBTQ+ communities. For 25 years, they have centered Black queer women through community organizing, intergenerational programming, education, and healing justice.

Affinity works to end the marginalization of Black LGBTQ+ people globally by building brave activist  communities where all intersections of LGBTQ+ identity are fully embraced. Through activism, education, and transformative justice practices, they build avenues for collective action, LGBTQ+ justice, healing, and Black liberation.
